“Life imposes things on us that we can’t control, but we still have the choice of how we’re going to live through this.” — Celine Dion
Life is gift of God. Life is a journey, not the destination. It is an occasion and an opportunity to realise the truth about one self and the truth of the universe.
Living a spiritual life is different for everyone. Going on a spiritual path does not always involve shaving head, or going to a religious function once a week, but more importantly being true to our calling. Spirituality doesn’t entail various rules and regulations. But it helps to better unlock our potential. The spiritual path requires us to abandon every ounce of who we are not, in order to find who we really are.
We are passing through a period of unprecedented crises due to the crises in man’s character. A man with all his civilization is not able to live with another man in peace. Hymns of hate are sung in chorus everywhere. Life is moving at a very high speed, but mind is not able to keep pace. Until mind is enlightened and is enabled to move with life, the problems of man are bound to grow more and more complicated.
Today when everybody’s life has become so busy and is surrounded by so many attractions, it will be difficult to lead a peaceful and pious life. To lead a true Brahmo life is still more challenging. Under these odd circumstances, how to lead a Brahmo way of life? For this the guiding factors are 1. Brahmo faith and principles, 2. Trust Deed of Brahmo Samaj, 3. Second part of Brahmo Dharma and 4. Isavaasya Brahmanyam (vaajasaneya Samhita- 40th Chapter of Yajurvedam).
