Bhadrotsav Celebration
The 193rd Bhadrotsav was celebrated with much gaiety on 23rd August (6th Bharda), 2021 evening at Bharatvarshiya Brahma Mandir. Shri Sourav De conducted the divine service and hymns were rendered by the members of Bharatvarshiya Brahma Mandir Sangeet Siksha Kendra led by Shri Supratim Chakrabarty. At the end of the programme, all the devotees were served tea and snacks.
193rd Bhatrotsav and Raja Rammohun Roy
On the occasion of 193rd Bhadrotsav, Rammohun Roy Sestercentennial Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee organized prayer and lecture meeting on zoom digital platform on 24th August, 2021 at 7 pm. Prayer was conducted by Shri Amit Das and hymns were sung by Smt. Rina Dolon Bandopadhyay. Shri Arnab Nag delivered a lecture on “Atmiya Sabha to Brahmo Samaj” a detailed historical sketch of Rammohun Roy’s journey towards the foundation of Brahmo Samaj and the relevance of Bhadrotsav.

Sudipto Roy Chowdhury, son of late Ajoy Roy Chowdhury and late Sovona Roy Chowdhury and husband of Smt. Sunanda Roy Chowdhury of 8. D. L. Khan Road, Kolkata – 700025 expired on 11th August, 2021 after prolonged illness at the age of 72 years. The Adya Sraddha ceremony of late Sudipto Roy Chowdhury was held on Sunday, 22.08.2021 at Brahmo Sammilan Samaj. Dr. Amitabha Khastagir conducted the divine service and hymns were rendered by Smt. Manasi Chatterjee, Smt. Sreyashi Chatterjee, Smt. Papiya Bandopadhyay and Shri Supratim Chakrabarty. Shri Aditya Banerjee, son of late Sudipto Roy Chowdhury read out a brief life-sketch of his father. Smt. Sutapa Roy Chowdhury and Shri Soumya Bandopadhyay paid tributes to the departed soul of the deceased.
