Rammohun Roy’s Death Anniversary & Book Release Programme
On 27th September 2021 at 6:00PM at the Raja Rammohun Roy Memorial Museum a programme was organized jointly by Rammohun Roy Sestercentennial Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee, Raja Rammohun Roy Memorial Museum and Rammohun Roy Reappraisal at 250 society to release the special 250th birth anniversary edition of Rammohun Roy’s “Tuhfatu’l – Muwahhidin” published jointly by Sadharan Brahmo Samaj and Raja Rammohan Roy Memorial Museum. Prayer was conducted by Dr. Madhusree Ghosh and hymns were sung by Shri Debasish Roy. The book was released by Prof. Rudrangshu Mukherjee and chief guest of the meeting was Dr. Ranjit Sen.
Death Anniversary of Pandit Sivanath Sastri
On 30th September 2021 at 6:00PM on the occasion of death anniversary of Sivanath Sastri, Rammohun Roy Sestercentennial Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee & Rammohun Roy Institute of Social Studies organised a webinar “Rammohun Roy to Sivanath Sastri: Tradition of Printing and Publication”. Speakers were Shri Indrajit Chaudhuri and Dr. Asis Khastagir, Shri Arnab Nag conducted the webinar.
150th Birth Anniversary of Atul Prasad Sen at Sadharan Brahmo Samaj
On 20th October, 2021 at 6:30 pm a programme was organized at Sadharan Brahmo Samaj prayer hall to observe 150th birth anniversary of Atul Prasad Sen. The programme was started with a brief prayer offered by Smt. Sutapa Roychowdhury. A brief life sketch of Atul Prasad Sen was narrated by Shri Prasun Ganguly. Songs of Atul Prasad Sen were sung by Smt. Rita Chakraborty, Smt. Kasturi Chakraborty, Smt. Mousumi Chatterjee, Smt. Sumana Roy, Smt. Madhabi Talukdar, Shri Rajnath Das and Shri Sayan Gupta. Shri Bireswer Bhowmick and Shri Sugata Chatterjee assisted the choir with musical instruments. The programme was concluded with the song of Rabindranath Tagore, “Aguner Parashmoni…”
Webinar on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Atul Prasad Sen
On 20th October at 12 noon a webinar titled “Sense of Patriotism in Music of Atul Prasad Sen: Call for New Era”, was organized by Rammohun Roy Institute of Social Studies to celebrate 150th birth anniversary of Atul Prasad Sen. The webinar was chaired by Dr. Sakti Sadhan Mukhopadhyay and the speakers were Smt. Nupurchhanda Ghosh and Dr. Rajib Chakraborty. Few songs of Atul Prasad Sen were sung by Smt. Snigdha Mitra and Sri Rahul Mitra Mustafi. This webinar was conducted by Sri Arnab Nag.
